Kemp Strings Standard 10s are the world’s first equal sensitivity electric guitar strings. Never before have the distances and forces required for pitch bends been more finely matched. Tremolo chords can be bent in tune on the four lowest pitched strings on standard Strat®, something never before possible on this instrument (unless changing to unusual and bulky hardware). All strings except the high E take equal force for bending through a given pitch interval. Roundwound with nickel plated steel (a.k.a. Nickel Wound) these strings feature hex cores. Welcome to the next generation of electric guitar strings.
Gauges are 10, 13, 18, 25w, 35w, 49w for standard tuning (with the bottom string being 53w for the Drop D option) with the hex cores and windings carefully selected to give equal sensitivity to pitch bends. These strings deliver sensitivity benefits on all instruments while giving optimum performance for chord bending when using standard nut with the length of string behind the nut matching that of standard Strat® type instruments for the four lowest pitch strings.
